Methods to Make a Donation Page

1. Log into your Facebook Account. On the Facebook homepage, log into your Facebook account. In case, you don’t have one you can sign up for one on this page only. Fill in your details, a valid e-mail address for verification and you are good to go.

2. Go to ‘Create a Page’. On the left hand side of your home screen, there is a sky blue color bar which has options like ‘Favorites’, ‘Pages’, ‘Groups’ etc. Select the ‘Create a Page’ option under the ‘Pages” category. You will be asked to select that what type of page you are creating. Choose the relevant option and enter the name of your cause & click on ‘Getting Started’.

3. Fill in the details. Now in the ‘About’ section, add a description informing people what your Page is about. Enter your website address & a Facebook address for your Page.

4. Put up a profile picture. In the ‘Profile Picture’ tab, you have the option of uploading a profile picture from your page either from your computer, or importing it from a website. To import it from your website, just enter your website address and voila, you can choose from all the photos on your website.

5. Add to Favorites. The next tab gives you the option of adding this page to your favorites. This will let you keep tabs on your page easily.

6. Go to the ‘Preferred Page Audience’ tab. Though anyone can connect to your page, entering a preference for age, sex, location will allow Facebook to put up your page in front of your particular target group.

How to Add Donate App on Facebook

Add either the Causes App or the Donate App to your Page. These two apps can be used for collecting money. The Causes App can only be used by non-profits, whereas the Donate App is available to all those who own a PayPal Account. You can find both these apps in the Facebook’s Application Directory or you can enter facebook.com/donateapp into the address bar.
